We are delighted to welcome Kristina Baker Kenny to BeWell for a day  of learning in October.

This Further Learning 1 day short course is ideal for those already working within or curious about working within Holistics.

It's a day dedicated to feeling out a large array of Sound Healing instruments.

Kristina's teaching and facilitating approach is centred around the deep understanding of Energetics

.

Sound healing fundamentally revolves around the comprehension of energy dynamics. The practise is built around the idea that sound vibrations can influence and harmonize energy within the body, promoting healing and balance.

By recognizing the relationship between sound and energy, practitioners can utilize specific frequencies to facilitate emotional and physical well-being, ultimately fostering a deeper connection to one's inner self and the surrounding environment.

About Sound Healing

Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that utilizes sound frequencies and vibrations to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This approach often involves instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks, which are believed to facilitate relaxation and balance within the body. By engaging with these sounds, individuals may experience reduced stress, enhanced mood, and improved overall health, as the vibrations resonate with the body's energy centers, fostering a sense of harmony and restoration.

 This connection

  • fosters a greater awareness of body alignment

  • creates a deeper mind-body connection

  •  leads to a more profound, transformative experience on the mat

Ultimately, yoga assists cultivate an environment of trust and support, allowing students to relax into their practice and discover their own potential for growth and self-discovery.

Benefits of Sound Healing
Sound healing offers a unique way to promote relaxation and reduce stress, utilizing various frequencies and vibrations to calm the mind and body. This practice can help individuals achieve a deeper state of tranquility, making it easier to cope with daily challenges.

Engaging with sound healing can enhance emotional well-being by facilitating the release of pent-up emotions and fostering a sense of inner peace. Many people find that the soothing sounds help them process feelings and achieve a more balanced emotional state.

The practice can also improve physical health by promoting better sleep and aiding in pain relief. The vibrations from sound can stimulate the body's natural healing processes, leading to reduced tension and discomfort.

Sound healing encourages mindfulness and presence, allowing individuals to connect more deeply with themselves and their surroundings. This heightened awareness can lead to greater clarity and focus in daily life.

Additionally, sound healing can foster a sense of community and connection when practiced in group settings. Sharing the experience with others can enhance feelings of belonging and support, making it a powerful tool for personal and collective healing.

Kristina's motivation...

Having worked as a primary school teacher in Ireland for many years, and a music teacher in
the Gulf region, I returned home and decided to start my own business in sound therapy and
wellness. This is an area which is still underfunded and under-appreciated yet greatly needed in the education
and corporate sectors.

With the speed that technology is advancing and the demands on human attention increasing rapidly, people are experiencing more health problems such as dizziness, vertigo, stress, chronic fatigue, auto immune problems and cognitive disorders. Not to mention the huge increase in autism and ADD in the last few years.

The natural counter remedy to all of this is grounding, slowing down the mind and coming back to the present moment.

Many people find this difficult, particularly if they have addictions. Addictions can look as simple as eating or scrolling on a phone. Particularly within youths, scrolling has become an addiction to 'numb out'.

I believe that my classes are crucial in bringing people back to the present, by grounding and being with others in a safe space.

And as the world advances, this will be needed more and more.
